Artist Statement

"Wind Dancer Iris" is a first attempt in the outdoor sculptural realm.  Having photographed and processed many portraits, eyes are always key to true representations of subjects.  Wind Dancer Iris is a botanical representation of many eye photographs printed on metal and affixed to Iris "blossoms" -- It is a fun and whimsical presentation of eyes of locals integrated with  Iris Flower colors and mirrors.  After observing blossoms, viewers can step up to mirrors and watch their own eyes become part of the work.
